Hi y’all! My name is Erin Renn and I am an aspiring author with too many ideas in my head for one lifetime. This site is a place for me to share not only my current work and where it’s available, but my upcoming ideas as well. Currently I’m working on a series called The Abbot Hall Sweepers. The series, which follows a high school girl named Dabney in a collection of short stories, was inspired by my own time in boarding school. Though the series is about a co-ed school, instead of an all girls school like the one I attended, I wanted to give the world a more accurate account of boarding schools and just how fabulous they can be.
In addition to The Abbot Hall Sweepers, I also keep a blog called A Country Girl in Tall Boots, where I share life lessons and stories about my life growing up as a country girl in the San Joaquin Valley of California. I’m also going to start sharing stories about my travels as I always seem to be on the move.
I have a Bachelor’s degree From CSU Fresno in Physical Anthropology and a Master’s degree in Human Osteoarchaeology from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. So in between working on Dabney’s short stories and my blog, I’m working on an archaeology project and trying to decide if heading back to grad school for a PhD is the right decision for me. If anyone has any advice on that topic I’d love to hear it!
I hope you’ll explore my site and see the different kinds of literary work I have to offer. I enjoy writing fanfictions for Hawaii Five-0 and eventually I’m hoping to put up some of my poetry.
Thanks for reading and have a fabulous day!
